We operate out of a newly renovated, fully dedicated 2,000 square foot facility in the heart of downtown Washington, DC. We are within easy walking distance of FIVE metro stops and hold classes 6 days a week. Our membership rates are among the most affordable prices in town AND we offer drop-in options for many classes. Sara has been a practicing western Shaman since 2007 and is the founder, director, and lead instructor of Luminous Warrior. After 10 years of working as a business management consultant, Sara refocused her life and dedicated herself full-time to the creation of Luminous Warrior.
Sara earned a certification as Master Practitioner in Energy Medicine and Luminous Healing through the Four Winds Society and is currently pursuing a certification as Healing Touch Practitioner. Her healing methods are founded in the Shamanic traditions of the South Americas, Eastern Holistic Medicine, Native Ceremonies, and Rituals, and she integrates these tools with brainwave development research and modern science to facilitate mental and emotional well being as well as physical healing in the body.
Sara has over 20 years of athletic experience and is a certified Expert, Level 5 instructor in Krav Maga through the Krav Maga Alliance. Sara is certified in handgun personal protection tactics and she has worked as a certified rape crisis counselor for BAWAR (Bay Area Women Against Rape).
Sara’s approach to self defense and Shamanic healing is integrated and includes the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of an individual. Her classes, workshops and retreats are highly customized to fit the needs and levels of the participants. To improve Luminous Warrior, Sara continues to train in advanced self defense and energy medicine techniques.
Though she is a German-born, Pakistani native, Sara has been in the Washington DC area for most of the past 18 years. Sara graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Maryland with a major in psychology, and she earned an M.B.A. in international business from Georgetown University. When Sara is not training, teaching or healing, she enjoys laughing, dancing, connecting with nature, being inspired, and spending time with the Luminous Warrior Community. Sara is passionate about improving the lives of others and believes that individuals have the capability to tap into their personal power and manifest the life of their dreams.
